Sunday's 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards honored Hollywood's best handing out top awards to Modern Family and Mad Men.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Several first-time winners were honored, including Peter Dinklage for Game of Thrones, Kyle Chandler for Friday Night Lights, Martin Scorsese for Boardwalk Empire, Barry Pepper for The Kennedys, and Margo Martindale for the TV drama, Justified. Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell won their first Emmys for Modern Family.
There were some predictable wins. Kate Winslet for Midlred Pierce, the Amazing Race for best competition reality show and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart won for the ninth time in a row.
Charlie Sheen took a more mature stance at the awards telling viewers, "I want to take a moment to get something off my chest, to say a few words to everyone here from Two and a Half Men. From the bottom of my heart, I wish you nothing but the best for this upcoming season. We spent eight wonderful years together and I know you will continue to make great television."
